Off-Roading Trails For Your UTV
Unless your UTV is strictly for work, there’s always a need for new and exciting places to explore and ride. Oklahoma is especially great for that kind of riding, from the northeast greenery to the desert country to the lake-side trails. We here at Mike Cooper Tractors want you to get the most out of every ride, so we’ve put together some of our favorite UTV-friendly off-roading trails. For more information, or to see the UTVs we have for sale, contact our store in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, today!
Lake Murray
If you want a gorgeous area that you can spend a few days exploring, Lake Murray is for you. With over 1,000 acres of land for exploring nature with your favorite off-roading vehicles and an included campsite to let you stay overnight, you can’t go wrong. Just keep in mind that UTV width is limited to 71” in this park. There’s a $10 fee per rider.
Little Sahara State Park
Little Sahara might be better if you prefer to kick up sand and cruise the dunes, though. Explore the almost 1,500 acres of land by day, by night, by whatever time suits you best. 200 campsites, rental areas for various off-roading vehicles and plenty of spots to refuel your UTV (and yourself) make this a popular area for side-by-side riding. Here, you have to pay a $10 fee daily, but the wide open expanses are more than worth it. Double check their website for specifics on the equipment you’ll need.
Robbers Cave State Park
Robbers Cave State Park only recently opened the door for UTV riding inside the park. 250 acres of rocky, rugged trails turn the relatively small area into a challenging and rewarding obstacle course. Steep terrains are offset by incredible vistas, and the $20 per day fee applies to the number of vehicles rather than riders. Ride anytime between dawn and dusk and get your fill of adventure!
Red River ATV Park
But of course, the most classic and entertaining off-roading terrain is mud. For those craving a splash, the REd River ATV Park in Hendrix, Oklahoma, is open year-round on weekends. Showers, bathrooms, and vehicle wash stations keep you only as dirty as you want to be. For just $15 per person per day, you can crash through perfect mudholes to your hearts’ content.
We hope you enjoy one or all of these places! If you have any questions, or you’re on the hunt for a UTV that can help you make the most of these areas, contact us at Mike Cooper Tractors. We proudly serve the people of Tulsa and Muskogee, Oklahoma—let us serve you today!
