Tractor Accessories And Add-Ons

Sep. 30 2019 Miscellaneous By ___

Your tractor is a rugged, hard-working machine that helps you get all kinds of work done. To further specialize your farm’s workhorse, there are a number of attachments and accessories that you can get. We’ve mentioned some of them here for your convenience. These are some of the general-purpose accessories that often get overlooked, and they can make it easier for you to swap your implements or improve the quality of the work for operators.

At Mike Cooper Tractors, we carry some of the most durable and trustworthy tractor models. Drop by our dealership in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, and talk to one of our helpful staff members to find out why we trust these machines. We also serve the areas of Tulsa, Broken Arrow and Muskogee.

Tool Box

A tool box is great for when you want to do some maintenance work on your tractor, and when you have to tackle all the odd jobs that come up on around your land. This add-on is a great way to increase the tractor storage area to bring greater utility wherever you go. They’re very easy to add to any tractor model.

Quick Hitch

With quick hitches, you can swap your tractor implements with ease. This, in turn, increases the productivity of the machine as well as its ease of use. Hitches come in a number of styles, like a 3-point hitch or a telescoping boom pole.

Tooth Bar

If you need strength above all else, you can invest in tractor attachment accessories like tooth bars. These can be clamped to a loader bucket to increase capacity and strengthen digging performance. Tooth bars are usually easy to install but you have to choose the right model for your machine’s make and model.

Chain Hook

You can get a chain hook bolted or welded to your tractor (usually to a front-end loader bucket). These are used to secure cargo into place and come in a range of sizes and configurations.

Brush Guard

Tractors spend their time working against obstacles like rocks and stumps, so they gather a lot of dings and scratches. To avoid that, get brush guards that can save your front grill and lights in case the material you’re hauling gets loose or the tractor kicks up something heavy and hard.

Tire Chains

If you operate your tractor where there’s any chance of getting snow, you should get yourself some tire chains to help out with traction and safety. Most of the R1 and R4 tires don’t need chains in the snow but if you have R3 turf tires, they could use the help of tire chains.

Wheel Weights

Adding ballast to your tractor might sound unnecessary unless you’ve ever run out of traction and spun your wheels on dry ground! Bolt-on weights are ideal for when you want to switch back and forth from ground-engaging tasks and turf work where you don’t want the added weight compacting delicate lawns. Filled tires also have the same effect.

Climate Controlled Cab

This add-on is one of the more expensive ones, but the comfort of climate control is worth it. Working on a farm involves working in very hot and very cold weather, so having a cab that’s not ravaged by the weather outside can make your day a little easier and your tasks more accomplishable. There are also conversion kits but climate control is a better option available with newer models.

These are just some of the add-ons you can opt for. If you’d like to find out more, visit Mike Cooper Tractors in Fort Gibson and one of your friendly staff members will be glad to help you out. We’re proud to serve our friends from Tulsa, Broken Arrow and Muskogee, Oklahoma. We’re here for all your tractor needs!
